Using Only the Freshest & Finest Quality Ingredients

Bright Stars Kindergarten provides a nutritious five (5) course menu of breakfast, morning tea, delicious hot lunch, afternoon tea and a late afternoon snack, as well as fruits & drinks. These meals are prepared daily by our qualified Chef employed to cater for children attending the Service.

Our menus are nutritionally reviewed and prepared in accordance with the NSW Health - 'Munch & Move' Program. Our menus also adhere to the strict requirements of the 'Nutrition Checklist for Long Day Care Menu Planning'. Bright Stars Kindergarten participates in a voluntary Food Safety Program and we have been approved by local councils as a Five (5) Star Food Safety Premises. This program identifies and controls the handling of food to ensure the food we serve is always safe and in accordance with Food Safety Protocols.

Our Early Childhood Education and Childcare Service provides the daily recommended dietary intake of nutrients for children during their time spent in care. Children are exposed to a variety of foods, which include a variety of flavours, colours and textures. We aim to promote an interest in food while ensuring a wide selection of essential nutrients are met. Children develop positive attitudes towards healthy eating as well as establishing mealtimes as happy and enjoyable occasions.

At our Early Childhood Education and Childcare Service we source the majority of our food locally. We support our local butchers and fruit grocers. We source only the highest quality and freshest produce including lean meats and chicken, fresh fruits and vegetables.

Our foods reflect our individual Service as we represent the different cultural backgrounds of families attending our Service through our daily menu.

We give high priority to all allergens and our staff members are all trained in Anaphylaxis. Any dietary requirements and special needs are carefully recorded and catered for.

Our daily menus can be accessed through our secure online Parent Portal and is on display in each room and in the foyer.
